Lack of Objective Findings Discussion
Lack of Objective Findings: Diagnoses made in the absence of visible,
palpable or objectively measurable physical abnormalities are more
questionable than those with objective, clinically relevant findings. Such
diagnoses include those based primarily on subjective findings such as
pain, sensory problems, discomfort, tenderness or weakness. Lack of
objective findings increases the chance of treatment failure.
